Family Physician needed at a Walk-In Clinic in Southern North Dakota
- Board Certification: ABFM required and DEA
- Clinical setting: urgent care clinic – attached to hospital
- Trauma Level: This is a level III hospital- but this is the Walk in Clinic
- Reason for need: Retirement
- Start Date: October or as soon as credentialed
- Length of assignment: 6 months
- Schedule:
14 days on/14 days off and another to work 7 days on/7 days off.
shifts are Mon-Fri 11a-6p and 10-4 on weekends- Shift Details: 8’s and weekend is 6 hours but will work with us on 8’s if needed.
- Patients per day: 25 patients per day/ weekend coverage is more like 40-50
- Ages: All ages- Peds, Adults, Geriatrics
- Cases: Flu, allergies, sports injuries, emergency cases- sutures and splints, infections/ bronchitis
- Procedures: Examinations and have on-site resources which include Lab, x-ray and CT is available off-site.
- Certifications: BLS
- EMR: Epic
- Credentialing Timeframe: 60-90 days
- Support Staff: Full clinic staff and always have 2 to 3 providers at the clinic
- Travel: Full expenses reimbursed- can discuss a lodging stipend if preferred
- DEA: Yes- required
- Licensure: North Dakota if they have IMLC license helpful
- Background/Malpractice: prefer clean background but will consider if minor incidents
Job Responsibilities
Provide care in an urgent care clinic, handling cases such as flu, allergies, sports injuries, emergency cases (sutures and splints), infections, and bronchitis.
Conduct examinations with access to on-site lab and x-ray facilities; CT available off-site.
Manage a patient load of approximately 25 patients per day, with increased volume on weekends (40-50 patients).
Serve patients of all ages, including pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics.
