Job description

This is outpatient primary care with the flexibility to build a practice around how you want to work. This Texas community has an established need for Family Medicine, giving an incoming physician the opportunity to step into a busy market while maintaining control over the pace of their clinic. The organization is open to physicians who prefer a more traditional Monday–Friday schedule as well as those interested in discussing a four-day work week. Patient volume is similarly flexible—you can build toward a busier practice or maintain a more measured daily schedule without sacrificing access to productivity upside. With no inpatient responsibilities, an exceptionally light clinic call structure, and opportunities available to physicians graduating as far out as 2028, this position offers both immediate and long-term appeal. It is an especially strong fit for a physician who wants an established Texas practice without the lifestyle tradeoffs of a major city.

Position, Compensation & Organization

  • 100% outpatient Family Medicine with no inpatient responsibilities
  • $265,000 guaranteed compensation for 2 years
  • $38.50 per wRVU with an additional $4.20 tied to quality measures
  • Typical patient volume of 18–22 per day with flexibility to see more or less
  • $40,000 sign-on/relocation package with a 3-year commitment
  • Up to $125,000 in student loan repayment at $25,000 annually for 5 years
  • No student loans? $125,000 retention bonus option over 5 years
  • Optional APP supervision compensated at $750 per APP per month
  • Residency stipend of $1,250/month during PGY-2 and $2,000/month during PGY-3
  • Approximately 1:6 clinic call with nurse triage handling first call
  • New Family Medicine clinic opened in January 2025
  • Clinic is connected to an ER with Orthopedics/Sports Medicine and a new cancer center nearby
  • EPIC EMR
  • H-1B candidates considered
  • Full benefits including 30 days off, retirement with matching funds, health/dental/vision insurance, and paid malpractice

Make Your Home in East Texas

This community gives physicians a middle ground that can be hard to find in Texas: enough size and amenities for everyday convenience without the congestion of a major city. Located in the Piney Woods of East Texas, the community is surrounded by greenery and pine trees while functioning as its own metropolitan hub for surrounding towns. Although the community itself has roughly 82,000 residents, its daytime population can reach approximately 250,000 as people come into the city for work, shopping, dining, and healthcare. It is particularly well suited to physicians who want room to settle down, spend more time outdoors, and raise a family while keeping Dallas within an easy drive. The area provides the shopping, restaurants, and daily conveniences of a larger community without trying to replicate an urban lifestyle. With no state income tax and access to an abundance of lakes and recreation, this community offers a compelling alternative for physicians ready to trade big-city congestion for East Texas living.

Community Highlights

  • Approximately 2–2.5 hours east of Dallas with convenient I-20 access
  • Roughly 16 lakes within a 60-mile radius
  • Numerous golf courses and outdoor recreation throughout the area
  • Piney Woods setting with abundant greenery and pine trees
  • Family-friendly environment outside the major-city setting
  • Shopping, grocery stores, restaurants, and everyday amenities available locally
  • No Texas state individual income tax
