I’m the medical director for the Sound Physicians inpatient practice at SSM Health St. Joseph Behavioral Hospital in Wentzville, Missouri. I’ve been a part of Sound since 2021, and I’m proud of the program we have built. The team and I welcome interest from physicians coming out of training or desiring a career change. I want to share more about our people, practice, and purpose as you consider this opportunity:

People

• We are a small team of two physicians, with the support of a hospitalist coordinator.
• We have excellent relationships with other departments in the hospital, supporting a culture of putting the patient first.

Practice

• We’re looking for board-certified or board-eligible candidates in family medicine or Med-Peds who enjoy seeing various patients from adolescents to adults of all ages.
• Our hospital has 77 beds with an average census of 30 daily patient encounters.
• We work with EPIC, with access to our internal informatics platform.
• Work as the sole provider each day, round on patients between 7 am and 5 pm, and be on call from 5 pm to 7 pm.
• Work a seven on/off schedule.
• No nights, procedures, or ICU care.
