Two community practices in the Lansing area are looking for full-time, Primary Care Physicians.
Can be FM, IM or Med/Peds. Both practices do see children. If a candidate is only comfortable seeing patients above a certain age, that is fine. See 15-20 or more patients/day growing over time.
Offering $20K sign-on bonus, $10K relocation. Base salary $210,000 guaranteed for 1 year before transitioning to RVU model. Ramp up will take time, but once productive 23-25 patients/day can earn $280-300K or more. RVUs based on collections. They take home 45% of collections. Call is shared among large group 12-15 providers and they only take call for 3-4x a year for 1 week at a time. It is just call from home/no inpatient.
Practices have a private practice feel but run like a hospital employed group given they have entire administrative support of the larger group. Scribes available if desired. Every provider hast heir own MA.
1) Full-time position, joining 1 other Physician, 1 NP, 1 PA currently. One physician has given tentative notice. The other works 3 days a week, and works as a Medical Director and involved with the local residency program so does not have time to take on more days/patients. This practice shares office with the OB group ( 5 OBs) but practices are separated by a lobby, they do share break room, etc. The practice is located 10 miles east of Lansing, in nice lakeside community. 36 patient care hours. EMR is E-Clinical Works.
2) Position available due to retirement of long-time physician. Here you will join one other physician specialized in holistic/ Osteopathic Manipulation who works a part-time schedule, and a nurse practitioner. This a very busy practice located in the Lansing metro area. 36 hours of patient care per week and same generous call from home schedule as above. The EMR is E-Clinical Works.
Lansing is the culturally diverse capital city of Michigan. The metropolitan area has a population of over 500,000 making it the third largest in Michigan, next to Detroit and Grand Rapids, and located about equal distance between the two. The area features two medical schools, nursing schools and law schools, and one veterinary school, and is also home to two major hospitals university affiliated hospitals, Sparrow, and Mclaren Lansing. The city neighbors popular East Lansing, which is home to Michigan State University, a public research university and member of the Big Ten Conference. The city of Lansing is an important epicenter of government, housing the state's Capital building, Supreme Court, Court of Appeals, a federal court and the Library of Michigan and Historical Center.
