A community hospital in Iowa, approximately 90 minutes from Des Moines, is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Family Medicine physician with obstetrics training or experience to join its hospital-employed practice. This opportunity combines comprehensive primary care and obstetrics with flexible scheduling, established patient demand, and strong clinical support. Physicians with and without C-section skills are welcome.
Practice Overview
- Four-day workweek or block schedule available
- Provide comprehensive primary care for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.
- Dedicated time for quality care: 1-hour new patient appointments and 30-minute follow-ups
- Hospital supports approximately 450 deliveries annually, with a 25% C-section rate.
- Experienced OB nursing staff, in-house CRNA coverage, and general surgery assistance for C-sections.
Compensation & Benefits
- $300,000-$350,000 base salary, based on experience and skill set
- Verified total earnings in this practice currently exceed $575,000 annually
- $100,000 in recruitment incentives, tailored to your financial needs with flexible payment options
- $25,000 annual retention bonus beginning after year one
- $20,000 relocation assistance
- 25 PTO days, five additional CME days, and seven paid holidays
- $4,000 CME reimbursement and $1,000 for professional dues.
Qualifications
- MD or DO.
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Family Medicine.
- Obstetrics training or relevant OB experience.
- C-section skills welcome but not required.
- Interest in comprehensive community-based care, including obstetrics and inpatient coverage.
