OB/GYN Physician – Job Description

Position: OB/GYN Physician

Job Summary:
We are seeking a qualified OB/GYN Physician to provide comprehensive women’s healthcare, including preventive care, gynecological services, prenatal care, and obstetric management. The physician will evaluate and treat patients across various stages of life and work collaboratively with clinical staff to provide high-quality, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecological care.
• Perform routine gynecological examinations and preventive health screenings.
• Provide prenatal, antenatal, and postpartum care.
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic gynecological conditions.
• Evaluate and treat reproductive and menstrual disorders.
• Perform appropriate office-based gynecological procedures.
• Manage pregnancy-related conditions and provide appropriate referrals when necessary.
• Educate patients regarding reproductive health, contraception, pregnancy, and preventive care.
• Order, review, and interpret laboratory and diagnostic studies.
• Develop individualized treatment plans and prescribe medications as appropriate.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation in the EMR.
• Coordinate care with specialists, nurses, midwives, and other healthcare professionals.
• Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.

Requirements

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of an accredited Obstetrics & Gynecology residency program.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in OB/GYN.
• Active and unrestricted state medical license.
• Current DEA registration or eligibility.
• BLS/CPR certification.
• Strong clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Previous experience in obstetrics and gynecology preferred.
