As the Medical Director, you will balance hands-on clinical excellence with strategic leadership. You will spend approximately 70% of your time delivering direct, evidence-based patient care, while the remaining 30% is dedicated to supervising practitioners, driving quality assurance, and shaping clinical protocols alongside executive leadership.
Job Responsibilities
• Oversee provider activities, including recruitment, training, and performance management.
• Perform and document clinical chart reviews for assigned providers.
• Participate in clinical data analysis, generating reports on patient population, provider, and practice performance.
• Collaborate with executive leadership (CMO, CCO, COO) to develop, monitor, and implement clinical protocols ensuring federal and state compliance.
• Lead quality assurance, improvement initiatives, and resource utilization reviews to optimize cost-effectiveness of care.
Qualifications
• Licensed to practice medicine.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience practicing as an MD/DO.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a clinical leadership role.
