A large FQHC network across approximately 20 clinic locations in South Los Angeles is seeking three Family Medicine or Internal Medicine physicians for 3 to 6 month locum assignments with strong possibility of extension. ASAP starts are critical — previous candidates have backed out and the need is real and immediate. No call, no OT, no telehealth. $155/hr with full expenses. Schedules provided one month in advance. Saturday coverage is a priority — even a Saturday-only candidate will be considered.

The communities served include Gardena, Compton, Inglewood, Hyde Park, and surrounding South LA neighborhoods. Dire need locations: Williams (808 W 58th St, LA), Compton (2115 N Wilmington Ave), East Compton (15715 S Atlantic Ave), and Hyde Park (6505 8th Ave, LA). Providers float between 1-2 locations but never more than 10-15 minutes apart, stay at one location all day, and receive their schedule a full month in advance.

Job Responsibilities

Full-scope primary care including pediatrics through geriatrics. Women's wellness including pap smears, birth control prescribing, STD testing and treatment, IUD insertion and removal, postnatal care for mother and infant, family planning services. Annual physicals, school, employment, and insurance physicals. Immunizations. Health screenings including STD, vision, and hearing. Chronic care management. 22 patients per day. MA ratio 1.5:1 with translators on site. eClinicalWorks EMR.

Qualifications

Board certified or true board eligible FM or IM physician within 5 years of residency. BE candidates must provide estimated board exam date. CA license required. ASAP start required — physicians who cannot start within 2 to 3 weeks should not apply. No NPs or PAs considered. Heavy RTO is a disqualifier — summer coverage is the priority.

Working Hours

Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm or late shift 11am to 7:30pm. Two Saturdays per month 7am to 3:30pm (Tuesday through Saturday those weeks). Part time accepted: 1 to 2 consistent weeks per month. No call. No OT. No telehealth. $155/hr.
