• Locum tenens Pediatrician position providing 24-hour on-call coverage.
• Start date: October 19, 2026; ASAP coverage need.
• Contract duration: 21 days, with current approval through January 14, 2027.
• Facility requires approximately 14–21 days of coverage per month.
• Average daily census is approximately 1 patient.
• Hospital averages 6–7 births per month, with anticipated callback volume of approximately 1–2 nights per week.

Job Responsibilities
• Manage admissions and newborns following delivery.
• Provide inpatient, outpatient, or consultative pediatric services as required.
• Perform neonatal resuscitation when clinically indicated.
• Respond to callback cases and provide appropriate patient evaluation and treatment.
• Remain within 30 minutes of the hospital throughout the assigned call period.
• Complete required documentation in Epic.
• Collaborate with available tele-neonatology resources when needed.
• Participate in holiday coverage as assigned.
Qualifications
• Board certification in Pediatrics or Family Practice required.
• Active Oregon medical license required for immediate/October start.
• Candidates willing to obtain an Oregon license may be considered if licensing ETA is reasonable.
• NRP certification required.
• Epic EMR experience required.
• Applicants must demonstrate relevant clinical activity within the previous 24 months or provide applicable residency/training logs.
• Pediatric applicants must demonstrate recent inpatient, outpatient, or consultative pediatric experience.
• Family Medicine applicants must provide documentation of representative family medicine clinical services.
Working Hours
• Coverage includes days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Approximately 14–21 days of coverage required per month.
• Physician must remain within 30 minutes of the hospital while on call.
• Four hours of gratis time are included with each 24-hour call shift.

• Neonatal resuscitation.
• Newborn admission management.
• Pediatric assessment and treatment.
• 24-hour on-call clinical decision-making.
• Epic EMR proficiency.
• Ability to work independently in a critical access hospital setting.
• Ability to respond promptly to urgent neonatal and pediatric needs.
