POSITION TYPE: Locum Tenens | Part-Time or Full-Time
LOCATION: Greater Los Angeles — South LA, Compton, Inglewood corridor (20 clinic sites, all within 10 to 15 minutes of each other)
START DATE: ASAP — credentialing runs 2 to 3 weeks
DURATION: 3 to 6 months | Consistent part-time (1 to 2 weeks per month) also considered

Most outpatient locum roles hand you a schedule the week before and a waiting room you have never seen. This one hands you your schedule a full month in advance, assigns you a medical assistant before your first patient walks in, and puts translators on site so language is never a barrier to good care.
No call. No overtime. No telehealth. No surprises.
You show up, you practice medicine, you go home.
THE CLINICAL PICTURE
This is a federally qualified health center network serving underserved families across South LA, Compton, and Inglewood. Full-scope primary care. Real medicine. The kind you went into family medicine to practice.
- Approximately 20 patients per day
- All ages: newborns to geriatrics
- Full-scope FM: preventive care, chronic disease management, women's health including IUD insertions and removals, family planning, postnatal care, physicals, immunizations, STI screening and treatment
- Medical assistant assigned to you at a 1.5 to 1 ratio
- Translators on site and assigned to your panel
- EMR: eClinicalWorks
THE LOCATIONS
20 clinic sites across South LA, Compton, and Inglewood. You work one location per day, never mid-shift. Sites with the most urgent need:
- Williams — 808 W 58th St, Los Angeles, CA 90037
- Compton — 2115 N Wilmington Ave, Compton, CA 90222
- East Compton — 15715 S Atlantic Ave, East Rancho Dominguez, CA 90221
- Hyde Park — 6505 8th Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90043
Location preferences are noted at submission. You will not be asked to float to a site you have never seen without notice.
Job Responsibilities
Women's health: well-woman exams, pap smears, STI testing, birth control prescribing, IUD insertions and removals, family planning, postnatal care
Chronic disease management, physicals, immunizations, health screenings
Urgent care backgrounds considered
California medical license — active and unrestricted
Board certified or board eligible within 5 years of residency (board exam date required at submission)
MD or DO — physicians only
ASAP availability is essential. This client has had physicians back out and those communities felt every gap.
Requested time off days must be disclosed at submission. Summer coverage is a top priority.
Qualifications

THE COMPENSATION
$185/hr — above market for outpatient FM locums in greater Los Angeles, where comparable roles post at $175 to $180
At full-time that is approximately $7,400 per week gross
Expenses covered
Working Hours
Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm standard shift
Late shift available at select sites: 11am to 7:30pm
2 Saturdays per month, 7am to 3:30pm. Those weeks run Tuesday through Saturday so it is still five 8-hour days.
Schedule provided a full month in advance. You know exactly which site, which shift, and which days before the month begins.
Part-time considered: 1 to 2 consistent weeks per month (not per diem — the same weeks every month)
