Job description
We are seeking a Family Practice physician with OB experience for a locum tenens position in John Day, Oregon. This is a Critical Access Hospital role covering full-scope family medicine including obstetrics, deliveries, and women's health. Please see below for more information.
- Critical Access Hospital, 25 beds, avg daily census 10-15
- 10-hour days with flexibility, Monday-Friday
- All ages: neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults
- 16-18 patients scheduled per day
- OB call 1:3; ~45 deliveries annually, 15 C-sections; NICU transfers out
- Procedures: IUD, Nexplanon, toenail removal, excisions/biopsies, colposcopies, casting/splinting
- Cerner CommunityWorks EMR
- 6 month to 1 year assignment
Job Responsibilities
- Provide prenatal care, deliveries, and women's health
- Take OB call (1:3)
- Perform clinic procedures (IUD, Nexplanon, biopsies, colposcopies, casting/splinting)
- See 16-18 patients per day
Qualifications
- Active Oregon license required (preferred at submission)
- DEA required
- BLS, ACLS, and NRP required
- OB: demonstrated current competence and at least 10 deliveries in past 24 months
- C-Section: demonstrated competence and completion of at least 30 cesarean births
