Job description Client, a nonprofit Critical Access Hospital in rural Colorado, is seeking a Board Eligible or Board Certified Family Medicine Physician to join our growing primary care team.

This is more than a traditional employed physician position. We're looking for a physician who is passionate about relationship-based medicine and interested in becoming an integral part of the community while growing into a future Medical Director role.

Job Responsibilities

Leadership Opportunity:

Qualifications:
Required:
MD or DO
Board Eligible or Board Certified in Family Medicine
Eligible for Colorado medical licensure
DEA license or ability to obtain
Current BLS and ACLS certifications
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Commitment to patient-centered, community-based care
Interest in long-term professional growth and leadership

Preferred:
Spanish/English bilingual
Rural health or Critical Access Hospital experience
Leadership experience or demonstrated leadership interest
Experience practicing full-spectrum Family Medicine
Desire to establish long-term roots within the community

Working Hours

Practice Highlights:
Monday–Friday schedule
Choice of a traditional five-day workweek or a four-day (4x10) schedule
Average patient volume of approximately 12–13 patients per day
Collaborative team consisting of 2 Family Medicine Physicians and 3 Nurse Practitioners
Dedicated administrative support
Athena EMR
Dragon Medical Dictation
Strong nursing and clinical support staff
High level of physician autonomy
Relationship-centered approach to patient care

Scope of Practice:
Practice the full spectrum of Family Medicine while caring for patients across all stages of life, including:
Outpatient primary care
Inpatient rounding
Preventive medicine
Chronic disease management
Acute care
Pediatrics
Adult medicine
Geriatrics
Women's health
Care coordination
Patient education
This position offers the opportunity to practice comprehensive Family Medicine in a supportive rural healthcare environment.

Call Schedule:
Low-volume call responsibilities
Approximately one week every third week
Level IV Trauma Hospital
Call expectations are manageable and will be discussed during the interview process
