This Family Practice (Option for OB) Locum Tenens position is located in Washington.
Location: 50 miles from Seattle, WA (Inquire for specific hospital and location)
Duration: September 2026-January 2027
Reason for coverage: Gap in coverage
Schedule: 3 Days a week, 10-hour days, 8 hours patient-facing, 2 hours Admin Time
Shift: M-F, 8a-6p or 7a-5p
Call: Yes, if FP-OB,
Call schedule: 1:5, 7a-7a, 1x per week, rotating weekends
-Primary call for OB and newborn care. (There is always a second physician on back up call for c-sections or other emergencies)
-OB Average # of patients: Less than 100 deliveries per year (1-2 per week). There are also Nonstress tests and OB triage visits averaging 1 per day that don't always need the physician to physically come in to the hospital.
Patient volume: 18+ per day
-if FP-OB about 20% OB, 80% general
General Scope: outpatient primary care, all ages, women’s health is a plus, but not required
If FP-OB:
-Full spectrum women’s health care
-Outpatient Primary Care with OB
-C-section & neonatal admit/rounding.
-C-sections: Assisting is required, primary surgeon is optional for someone with the training.
-Vaginal Delivery required: Yes
-High risk OB: is transferred
-Circumcisions: not required

2025: 90 total deliveries, 412 Family Birth Unit Outpatient Visits , 36 c-sections
2026 to date (6/24): 40 total deliveries, 182 Family Birth Unit Outpatient Visits, 6 c-sections
EMR: Epic
Hospital: Level IV trauma center, 25 beds
Group/support: panel share, MA, RN
Requirements (boards, license): Board certified or board eligible with WA or Compact license
