Job description
We are seeking a Family Practice physician with OB experience for a locum tenens position in John Day, OR. This is a full-scope outpatient and inpatient coverage opportunity at a critical access hospital, with OB call coverage included. Please see below for more information.
Beds: 25
EMR: Cerner CommunityWorks
Job Responsibilities
See approximately 10–15 patients per day, with 16–18 scheduled per day
Provide women's health care including prenatal care and deliveries
Perform OB deliveries
Perform procedures including IUD and Nexplanon placement, toenail removals, excisions/biopsies, colposcopies, casting/splinting, suturing, joint injections, and pap smears
Provide OB call coverage in a 1:3 rotation
Work alongside MDs, DOs, and NPs in a critical access setting
Qualifications
Active Oregon state license
DEA
BLS
ACLS
NRP
Working Hours
OB call coverage in a 1:3 rotation
Start Date: 9/1/2026
Contract Length: 6–12 months
Employment Type: Locum Tenens – 1099
