St. Bernards Total Life Healthcare is seeking a dedicated physician to serve as Medical Director of our PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly) program in Jonesboro, Arkansas.

Position Highlights

  • Provide overall clinical leadership and medical oversight for St. Bernards Total Life Healthcare.

  • Lead and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop individualized care plans for PACE participants.

  • Provide clinical guidance and supervision to physicians and advanced practice providers.

  • Participate in direct patient care, including assessments, chronic disease management, acute care, and medication management.

  • Coordinate care with specialists, hospitalists, and other healthcare providers.

  • Oversee clinical quality, patient safety, regulatory compliance, and performance improvement initiatives.

  • Collaborate with program leadership on strategic planning, operational effectiveness, and continued program development.

  • Serve as a physician advocate for older adults and a clinical resource for participants, families, and the community.

Candidate Qualifications

  • MD or DO degree.

  • Active Arkansas medical license in good standing.

  • Minimum of three years of active medical practice.

  • Ability to meet medical staff privilege requirements at St. Bernards Medical Center.

  • Strong communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.

  • Five years of clinical leadership and/or management experience preferred.

  • A genuine passion for caring for older adults and improving healthcare through a team-based approach.

Job Responsibilities

PACE Medical Director – Job Responsibilities
- Provide overall clinical leadership and medical oversight for St. Bernards Total Life Healthcare's PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly) program.
- Lead and collaborate with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure comprehensive, coordinated, patient-centered care for program participants.
- Oversee the delivery of high-quality medical services, clinical outcomes, patient safety, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Provide clinical supervision, guidance, and support to physicians, advanced practice providers, and other clinical team members.
- Participate in direct patient care, including medical assessments, acute and chronic disease management, medication management, and follow-up visits.
- Develop and oversee individualized care plans that promote participant independence, quality of life, and continuity of care.
- Coordinate medical services with specialists, hospitalists, hospitals, nursing facilities, and other healthcare providers.
- Oversee and coordinate inpatient, outpatient, emergency, and community-based healthcare services for PACE participants.
- Collaborate with program leadership on strategic planning, clinical operations, resource utilization, and program development.
- Monitor clinical performance, review quality data, and implement initiatives to improve patient outcomes and operational effectiveness.
- Ensure compliance with applicable federal and state regulations, PACE program requirements, and organizational policies.
- Participate in interdisciplinary care conferences, clinical meetings, and organizational quality improvement committees.
- Provide education and clinical guidance to team members, participants, families, caregivers, and community healthcare partners.
- Support effective communication and collaboration among clinical staff, program leadership, participants, and families.
- Serve as a physician leader and community advocate for comprehensive senior care and the mission of St. Bernards Total Life Healthcare.
