Qualifications MD or DO from an accredited medical school Completion of ACGME-accredited geriatric medicine fellowship Board certified or board eligible in geriatrics Unrestricted Connecticut medical license or eligible Dual certification in palliative care is a plus Visa sponsorship (J-1 or H-1B) not available Position Details Seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Geriatrician to join the practice. Approximately 75% outpatient geriatric consultative services and 25% inpatient; role can be adjusted to the physician's interests Full-time, weekdays only, 40 standard hours; part-time and flexible options available Infrequent phone call only Established, state-wide team of 20+ geriatric providers Team-based care with access to behavioral health, high-risk nurse care managers, and social workers AI-assisted charting, EMR with voice dictation, secure texting, and patient self-scheduling Provide team-based outpatient geriatric consultative care with inpatient and palliative care opportunities Optional teaching with faculty appointment Professional development in leadership, research, or academic teaching Location About the Community – Torrington, Connecticut * Charming city in the Naugatuck Valley region of northwest Connecticut — Litchfield County's largest city * 30 miles from Hartford and convenient access to New Haven and the greater Connecticut corridor * Rich New England history with a vibrant arts and cultural scene * Warner Theatre — a beautifully restored performing arts center in the heart of downtown * Excellent schools and affordable Connecticut living * Abundant outdoor recreation including hiking, skiing, and exploring the scenic Litchfield Hills * Close proximity to the Berkshires in western Massachusetts * Bradley International Airport offering convenient regional connections
