Physicians work alongside behavioral health providers, nutrition professionals, advanced practice providers, and care coordinators to deliver comprehensive care that addresses patients’ needs across disciplines.

Your Role

As a Primary Care Physician, you will provide comprehensive outpatient care and serve as the clinical leader for your patient panel. You will evaluate acute concerns, manage chronic conditions, deliver preventive services, and develop individualized plans that reflect each patient’s health needs and priorities.

Your role also includes working with the broader care team to connect patients with appropriate behavioral health, nutrition, and care-coordination resources. Through consultation and mentorship, you will support APP colleagues and help maintain consistent clinical standards across the practice.

Comprehensive Outpatient Care

• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic medical conditions using evidence-based clinical practice.

• Provide primary care for patients within your specialty, training, and clinical scope.

• Conduct preventive health visits, annual wellness visits, routine examinations, and appropriate screenings.

• Develop individualized treatment plans informed by medical history, clinical findings, patient preferences, and health goals.

• Order and interpret diagnostic testing and coordinate additional evaluation when needed.

• Manage medications and monitor treatment effectiveness, tolerability, and patient adherence.

• Educate patients about their conditions, treatment options, and opportunities to improve their health.

• Build lasting relationships through clear communication, shared decision-making, and dependable follow-up.

Integrated and Preventive Medicine

• Incorporate behavioral health, nutrition, lifestyle, and preventive care into treatment planning when appropriate.

• Identify factors that may affect a patient’s ability to follow a care plan, including social circumstances and access barriers.

• Partner with interdisciplinary colleagues to address needs that extend beyond the medical visit.

• Support early intervention, chronic disease prevention, and sustainable health improvements.

• Coordinate care with specialists, hospitals, and community providers to maintain continuity across settings.

Clinical Leadership and APP Collaboration

• Provide clinical oversight and collaborative supervision for APPs in accordance with applicable requirements and organizational policies.

• Support APPs through consultation, case review, mentorship, and clinical guidance.

• Help the team navigate complex cases and determine appropriate next steps.

• Promote consistent, evidence-based care and a collaborative approach to clinical decision-making.

• Contribute to a supportive environment where colleagues communicate openly, share knowledge, and seek input when needed.

Quality and Practice Improvement

• Maintain timely, accurate, and complete electronic medical records.

• Participate in quality improvement, population health, and patient-safety initiatives.

• Contribute to the development and refinement of clinical protocols and care processes.

• Support value-based care efforts focused on prevention, coordination, and patient outcomes.

• Maintain clinical, regulatory, and organizational standards.

• Help create a welcoming and respectful experience for patients, families, and colleagues.

Required Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree.

• Board certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.

• Active, unrestricted Georgia medical license, or ability to obtain licensure before the start date.

• Current DEA registration.

• Current BLS certification, or ability to obtain certification before starting.

• Strong clinical judgment and commitment to evidence-based outpatient medicine.

• Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to provide thoughtful clinical leadership and support APP colleagues.

• Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care.

Preferred Qualifications

• Two or more years of outpatient primary care experience following residency.

• Medicare enrollment or eligibility for enrollment.

• Experience in an interdisciplinary or value-based care environment.

• Experience mentoring or collaborating with advanced practice providers.

• Interest in preventive medicine, population health, and long-term patient outcomes.

• Comfort integrating behavioral health, nutrition, and lifestyle considerations into medical care.
