Looking for a locums assignment with a predictable weekday schedule, no call, no major holidays, and the flexibility of a 4-day workweek?
A well-established Federally Qualified Community Health Center (FQHC) in the Birmingham area is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Family Practice Physician for an ASAP locums need.
This is a busy, community-focused practice where you’ll provide comprehensive care to patients across the lifespan while working a consistent daytime schedule. No nights. No weekends. No call.

Job Responsibilities
Evaluate, diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic conditions
Provide preventive and routine healthcare
Treat patients across the lifespan
Perform appropriate physical examinations and health screenings
Perform well-woman examinations, including breast exams
Manage an average daily patient volume of approximately 25+ patients
Order and interpret appropriate laboratory and diagnostic testing
Develop and manage individualized treatment plans
Prescribe medications and provide patient education
Coordinate care with behavioral health and other available services
Accurately and efficiently document patient encounters in Epic EMR
Qualifications
Board Certified or Board Eligible – Required
Current DEA registration as applicable to scope of practice
Current standard life-support certifications as required by facility credentialing
Must successfully complete facility credentialing and orientation requirements
Working Hours
No call coverage
Closed on all major holidays
Prefer 5 days per week
Will consider 4 days per week for the right physician
3–6 month minimum commitment
