We are seeking a dedicated Outpatient Psychiatrist who is fluent in Spanish to join our esteemed academic hospital in Brooklyn. This role focuses on providing psychiatric care to geriatric patients aged 65 and above in an outpatient setting located on the hospital campus.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver psychiatric treatment to primarily geriatric patients in an outpatient clinic.
  • Engage with families to identify and address socioeconomic influences affecting patient care.
  • Collaborate with medical students and residents to enhance educational experiences.
  • Work Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM or 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with one evening shift per month from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
  • Opportunity for moonlighting with additional compensation.

Requirements

  • Completion of General Psychiatry residency training.
  • Geriatric Psychiatry fellowship training is preferred but not required.
  • Proficiency in Spanish, comfortable working with a primarily Spanish-speaking population.
  • New York State license, DEA certification, and Board Certification are required.
