Internal Medicine / Family Medicine Physician – Outpatient Coverage – California

We are seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Physician for a 26-week outpatient locum opportunity in California. This position offers a weekday schedule, no call, and the opportunity to care for a diverse patient population in a well-supported clinic environment.

Assignment Details

• Start upon credentialing
• 26-week assignment
• Full-time preferred
• Part-time providers considered

Schedule

• Monday – Friday
• Five 8-hour shifts per week
• Shift options:
  • 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM (1–2 evening shifts per week)
• No call

Practice Setting

• Outpatient Primary Care Clinic
• Epic EMR
• Coverage at 1–2 clinic locations

Clinical Responsibilities

• Comprehensive outpatient primary care
• Preventive care and chronic disease management
• Same-day and follow-up visits
• Care for patients across the lifespan

Patient Population

• Approximately 18 patients per day
• Pediatrics
• Adolescents
• Adults
• Geriatrics

Support Staff

• Medical Assistants
• Registered Nurses
• Licensed Vocational Nurses
• On-site Behavioral Health
• Full clinic support team

Requirements

• MD or DO
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
• Active California medical license
• California CSR
• DEA
• BLS
• ACLS
• Epic experience required
• Minimum 2 years of experience
• Spanish speaking strongly preferred
• Clean background preferred

Credentialing

• Approximately 12–14 weeks
• California license required
• No licensing assistance available
