WPA Medicine Staffing is seeking a BC/BE Family Medicine or Internal Medicine Physician for a locum tenens opportunity beginning in October 2026. This full-time assignment offers a collaborative outpatient practice environment with flexible scheduling and the opportunity to work across one to two clinic locations.
Assignment Highlights
- Start: October 2026 (upon completion of credentialing)
- Coverage Type: Locum Tenens
- Commitment: Full-time coverage (may be shared among multiple physicians)
- Schedule: Five 8-hour shifts per week beginning at 8:00 AM or 11:00 AM; 12-hour shifts may be available
- Setting: Outpatient Primary Care
- Onsite Requirement: Yes (float between 1–2 clinic locations)
- Credentialing Timeframe: Standard credentialing
This is an excellent opportunity for Family Medicine and Internal Medicine physicians seeking a flexible outpatient assignment in a team-oriented practice. Providers will deliver comprehensive primary care services while working alongside an experienced multidisciplinary support staff.
Physicians can expect to see an average of 18 patients per day. Evening coverage may be required one to two shifts per week. Full-time coverage is preferred, although the schedule may be shared among multiple providers.
The practice is supported by Medical Assistants, Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, and Behavioral Health professionals, allowing physicians to focus on providing high-quality patient care.
Requirements
- BC/BE in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
- Active California Medical License (must be in hand at the time of submission)
- DEA Registration
- ACLS Certification
- BLS Certification
- Family Medicine or Internal Medicine residency training
Bilingual candidates are strongly preferred.
Practice Environment
- Outpatient primary care setting
- Float between one to two clinic locations
- Average of 18 patients per day
- Flexible scheduling with daytime and occasional evening shifts
- Comprehensive MA, RN, LPN, and Behavioral Health support
- Epic EMR
