Remote Collaborative Family Medicine Physician

A healthcare services organization has a great Remote opportunity awaiting a licensed Physician in South Carolina for a Collaborating Physician role supporting advanced practice providers.

• Location Requirement: Must hold an active South Carolina medical license and actively practice in South Carolina

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Collaborating Physician for Nurse Practitioners (NPs) and/or Physician Assistants (PAs) practicing in South Carolina
• Establish and maintain written collaborative practice agreements in accordance with South Carolina state regulations
• Provide clinical consultation and guidance to NPs and/or PAs as needed
• Review patient charts and documentation and co-sign records when required by South Carolina law or organizational policy
• Ensure adherence to established clinical protocols and evidence-based standards of care
• Participate in quality assurance and clinical oversight activities
• Maintain compliance with regulations established by the South Carolina Board of Medical Examiners and other applicable South Carolina laws governing collaborative practice

Qualifications

• M.D. or D.O.
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Family Medicine residency
• Active, unrestricted South Carolina Medical License
• Reside in South Carolina
• Board Certified in Family Medicine
• Prior experience collaborating with or supervising Nurse Practitioners and/or Physician Assistants preferred
