Geriatric Medicine opening - Muscatine, IA 60 miles from Cedar Rapids Position Details
- Full-time, employed position
- Established team of 3 physicians, 2 Advanced Practitioners, and 1 Advanced Practitioner serving the nursing home
- Outpatient-focused practice in a well-established clinic
- 4.5-day work week
- Average 15–18 patients per day
- No nights or weekends
- 1:6 nursing home call shared among 8–9 providers
- Dedicated roomer and shared phone nurse
- Attached to hospital with on-site lab and X-ray
- EPIC EMR across fully integrated clinic and hospital system
- Dedicated administrative time with flexible scheduling Clinical Scope
- Adult primary care
- POCT HgbA1c
- INR clinic
- Annual wellness visits
- Physicals and vaccines
- Procedures based on physician comfort level
- Strong collaboration with experienced clinical and non-clinical staff Requirements
- MD or DO
- Board Certified
- Internal Medicine preferred
- Geriatric experience preferred
- Family Medicine with adult medicine experience considered
- Unrestricted Iowa medical license (or ability to obtain)
- Eligible to work in the United States
- J-1 and H1B sponsorship available Compensation Details
- Initial 2-year salary guarantee: approximately $250,000 – $365,000
- 100% of upside earning potential on innovative compensation model
