Physician Leader – Geriatric Service Line | Vermont

  • A well-established health system in Vermont is seeking a Board-Certified Family or Internal Medicine physician to lead the development of a new Geriatric Service Line. This is a rare opportunity to design and direct a forward-thinking program that integrates clinical excellence, community outreach, and educational support for local providers.

Role Highlights

  • Lead a new geriatric program that provides both direct patient care and consultative/educational support
  • Oversee program design, clinical operations, and relationship development with key stakeholders
  • Serve as a consultative partner to skilled nursing and rehabilitation services
  • Collaborate with leadership to build a sustainable, patient-centered model of geriatric care
  • Report directly to the Chief Medical Officer
  • Practice located in a newly constructed, modern facility

Qualifications

  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school; completion of FM or IM residency
  • Board Certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
  • Geriatric fellowship training and certification preferred but not required
  • Demonstrated experience with geriatric populations and strong communication skills
