Job description
A well-established private outpatient practice in Northern New Jersey is seeking a Board-Certified Family or Internal Medicine Physician for locum tenens coverage due to a provider taking leave. The physician will work in a busy, adult-focused clinic with a daily volume of 20–30 patients and will be supported by two other physicians.
This is an outpatient-only position with no call, hospital work, or supervision responsibilities. On rare occasions, coverage may be needed at a nearby affiliated site, so flexibility is important.
Job Responsibilities
Minor Surgical: Incision & drainage (I&D), suturing of minor lacerations
Occupational Medicine:
Employment physicals
Disability exams
Diagnosis and management of common work-related conditions
Qualifications
Active New Jersey medical license – REQUIRED
BLS Certification – REQUIRED
Must be local
Horizon BCBS In-Network Provider Status (Outpatient, not delegated) – REQUIRED
Internal credentialing handled by presenting agency – REQUIRED
Clean background
Working Hours
Shift(s) Description: 4.5 days per week, 2 Saturdays per month
No - On call
