Part-Time Endocrinologist – Shelton, Connecticut
Position Summary
A well-established, not-for-profit community hospital is seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Endocrinologist (MD/DO) to join its outpatient specialty practice in Shelton, Connecticut on a part-time basis.
This opportunity is ideal for an endocrinologist seeking a flexible schedule while providing high-quality outpatient care to an adult patient population.
Both experienced endocrinologists and fellows completing training are encouraged to apply.
The organization is a 160-bed acute care community hospital serving a large regional population and is recognized for its patient-centered approach to care. Essential Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive outpatient endocrine care for adult patients

Evaluate and manage Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes, including insulin management and advanced therapies

Diagnose and treat thyroid, adrenal, pituitary, osteoporosis, and metabolic disorders

Perform and interpret appropriate diagnostic testing, including hormone panels and glucose monitoring data

Review relevant imaging and laboratory studies

Develop individualized treatment plans based on each patient's clinical needs

Educate patients regarding disease management, lifestyle modifications, and preventive care

Collaborate with primary care physicians and multidisciplinary care teams

Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR

Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical program development
Qualifications

Education: MD or DO from an accredited medical school

Training: Completion of an accredited Endocrinology Fellowship

Licensure: Active Connecticut medical license or eligibility

Certification: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism

Experience: Open to experienced endocrinologists and graduating fellows
