REQUIRED PROCEDURES

• Outpatient endocrinology and diabetes management (new patients, follow-ups, hospital discharge follow-ups)
• Thyroid FNA (highly preferred but not required)

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Board: Board Certified - REQUIRED
• Licenses: Active ME License or Universal License (IMLC) - HIGHLY PREFERRED
• Certifications: Board Certified in Endocrinology
• Experience: Must have experience using EMR & Epic; minimum years of locum experience and overall experience required
• Other Qualifications: 2 Supervisor and 1 Peer references within 12 months; Covid/Flu vaccination required; must disclose travel origin

Duries & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide comprehensive outpatient care for endocrinology and diabetes patients, including hospital discharge follow-ups, new consultations, and routine visits.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of 11 physicians, 4 APPs, and certified diabetes educators.
• Maintain a target patient volume of 16-20 patients per day, working 4x10s or 5x8s (Monday to Friday).
• Utilize Epic EMR for documentation and patient management.
• Perform Thyroid FNAs if trained and comfortable (highly preferred).
