Endocrinologist

Whitecap Search Healthcare Partners is seeking a dedicated endocrinologist to join their team as they open a brand new Metabolic Center to provide multi-disciplinary care. This position offers a mix of inpatient and outpatient clinic work, with flexibility for outpatient-only if preferred.

• Rotated inpatient coverage with a 1:3 or 1:4 schedule, one week at a time. Flexible options include all 7 days or 5 days with rotated weekends.
• Coverage includes two hospitals, with an expectation of 4-6 new patient consults and 30-35 follow-ups in total.
• Rounds last 2-3 hours with support from a PA for note-taking.
• Shorter office hours during inpatient rounding weeks.
• Normal office schedule consists of 32 clinical hours and 8 administrative hours per week.
• Office hours: 8 hours on Monday and Tuesday, 6 hours on Wednesday and Thursday, and 5 hours on Friday (3-4 patients per hour, 15-20 minute appointments).
• Weekly Endocrine conference each Friday afternoon, then wrapping up the day by 3 pm.
• The location will utilize eCW and have support from MAs, dieticians, diabetes educators, and diabetes RNs once fully staffed.

This is a full-time permanent position that includes a base salary, RVU-based bonus, medical benefits, a retirement plan, and malpractice coverage.

Requirements

• Fellowship training in Endocrinology is required.
• Board Eligibility or Board Certification is required.
• NY License is required.
• Russian language skills are preferred but not required. There is a sufficient number of English-speaking patients to accommodate non-Russian speakers.
• New fellows graduating in the next 12 months are encouraged to apply.
