JOB OVERVIEW
• Job Title: Endocrinologist
• Job Type: Permanent – Full-Time
• Location: Carrollton, GA
• Service Setting: Outpatient
• Schedule: Monday – Friday daytime clinic schedule
• On-Call Expectations: Minimal / Rotational as required by group
PATIENT POPULATION & SCOPE
• Patient Demographics: Adults with endocrine and metabolic disorders
• Average Daily Volume / Census: Approximately 18–22 patients per day
• Admissions & Rounding: Not Included – Outpatient practice
• Consults & Follow-Ups: Yes
• Case Mix/Clinical Focus Areas: Diabetes management, thyroid disorders, metabolic disease, osteoporosis, adrenal and pituitary disorders, and other endocrine conditions
FACILITY & TEAM DETAILS
• EMR System: EPIC systemwide with Abridge AI medical scribe assistant
• Specialty Backup: Full specialty support available through Tanner Health System
• Support Staff: Established care team including Advanced Practice Provider and experienced nursing/support staff
• Leadership & Reporting Structure: Employed position within Tanner Medical Group
• Reason for Opening: Growth within the region and expansion of endocrine services for a service area exceeding 400,000 residents
CREDENTIALING & COMPLIANCE
• Board Requirements: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Endocrinology
• DEA & Certifications: Active DEA required; BLS certification preferred
• Credentialing Timeline: Approximately 60–90 days
COMPENSATION & PERMANENT BENEFITS

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
• Board Status: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Endocrinology
• State License Required: Eligible for or able to obtain Georgia medical license
• Certifications: DEA required; BLS or equivalent clinical certification preferred
• Experience: Open to both experienced physicians and new graduates
• Additional Requirements: Strong interest in diabetes and endocrine disease management within a collaborative practice environment
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide comprehensive endocrine care including evaluation, diagnosis, and management of endocrine disorders
• Manage patients with diabetes, thyroid disorders, metabolic disease, and related conditions
• Coordinate care with primary care physicians and specialty providers across the Tanner Health System
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the EPIC electronic medical record system
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient-centered care programs
