Position OverviewA community hospital in Queens is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Endocrinologist to join its team. This permanent, employed position focuses on delivering comprehensive, patient-centered care for individuals with a wide range of endocrine disorders, including diabetes, thyroid, adrenal, pituitary, and metabolic bone diseases.

Clinical ResponsibilitiesPatient Care:

Provide comprehensive care for patients with endocrine disorders, including history taking, physical exams, diagnostic evaluation, and individualized treatment planning

Manage patients with diabetes, including lifestyle counseling, medication management, and insulin therapy

Diagnose and treat thyroid disorders (e.g., hypo/hyperthyroidism, nodules)

Evaluate and manage pituitary disorders, including growth hormone deficiency, Cushing’s syndrome, and prolactinomas

Diagnose and treat adrenal disorders such as Addison’s disease and adrenal insufficiency

Manage metabolic bone diseases, including osteoporosis and osteomalacia
Collaboration & Education:

Work closely with primary care physicians, nurses, dietitians, and other specialists to coordinate care

Educate patients and families about disease processes, treatment options, and self-management strategies

Participate in hospital committees, quality improvement projects, and professional development activities
Administrative:

Maintain accurate and timely medical records in compliance with regulatory and ethical standards

Engage in continuing medical education and stay current with advancements in endocrinology
Education & Training:
-
MD or DO from an accredited medical school
-
Completion of an accredited Internal Medicine residency
-
Completion of an accredited fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism
Certification & Licensure:
-
Board certification or eligibility in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism (ABIM or AOBIM)

Eligibility for unrestricted medical licensure in New York

Competitive salary: $250,000 – $300,000/year
