This vital role offers an opportunity to join a dedicated team in a thriving outpatient practice, focusing on diagnosing and managing endocrine disorders such as diabetes, hypothyroidism, and metabolic conditions. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in improving patients' health and quality of life through comprehensive clinical care, patient education, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and treat endocrine conditions, including diabetes, hypothyroidism, and metabolic disorders.
  • Conduct thorough medical histories and physical examinations, order necessary diagnostic tests, and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Prescribe medications and tailor therapeutic regimens to patient needs, promoting health maintenance and disease management.
  • Educate and counsel patients on their conditions and self-management strategies.
  • Document all clinical encounters accurately within the Electronic Medical Record, including exam and progress notes.
  • Monitor patient outcomes and adjust care plans accordingly.
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to deliver evidence-based, high-quality care while adhering to HIPAA and other regulatory standards.
  • Support educational initiatives and meet quality benchmarks established by relevant healthcare agencies.
  • Build and maintain a robust patient base to ensure practice sustainability and revenue generation.

Requirements

  • MD or DO degree.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Endocrinology.
  • NYS Licensure.
  • Postgraduate clinical experience in an outpatient, ambulatory setting.
