Saint Alphonsus Health System & Saint Alphonsus Medical Group (SAMG) seeks an Endocrinologist (MD or DO) to join our team of Advanced Practice Providers and Certified Diabetes Care & Education Specialists to expand our diabetes care & education clinic to become a diabetes & endocrine clinic. The ideal physician for this role will have the opportunity to establish a full outpatient focus to their practice using a patient centered approach to care. The primary role of the endocrinologist would be to care for patients in the outpatient setting, being a resource for our multi-disciplinary diabetes team, support referrals from the larger medical group, and partner with system leadership in marketing and growing the endocrinology practice.
Requirements:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree.
- Current, unrestricted MD or DO license in Idaho; valid controlled substance registration with Idaho Board of Pharmacy and DEA.
- Successful completion of an accredited ACGME/AOA Internal Medicine residency program & Endocrinology fellowship program.
- Board certified or obtain certification within 3 years employment.
- Previous experience in Endocrinology disease management or chronic care management preferred.
- A strong medical background and a desire to develop a practice to support a growing multi-specialty medical group. In providing this support, you will obtain Idaho and Oregon medical licensure to maintain and strengthen the Health System’s general internal program across all communities we serve, including telemedicine.
- Obtain Idaho and Oregon medical licensure and granting of privileges at SARMC- Boise, SAMC- Nampa, and other health system affiliated hospitals as needed
- Valid controlled substance registration with Board of Pharmacy and DEA.
- Commitment to supporting a welcoming environment and patient focused clinic for patients, families, and referring providers.
