Western Illinois Group needs an Endocrinologist. There is a documented difficulty by primary care physicians and case managers in the community in getting their patients, (particularly diabetics) in to see an Endocrinologist in a timely manner. There are two endocrinologists in the community with another group and 2.5 total in the market area, which compares to a recommended level of 5.4 to serve a population this size. With more than 20 primary care physicians providing referrals along with several case managers, the potential for a well-trained specialist to build a robust practice is extremely high.
This is a beautiful community that sits along the Mississippi River. It has a stunning downtown area along the river with fine dining and abundant recreational facilities. Industry and business are strong with health care being top notch. Public and private schools are excellent with sports being highly competitive.
