Physician – Emergency Medicine (ABEM / FM / IM with EM Experience)

Contract | Locum Tenens | 12-Hour MD Shifts | December / January Dates
Key Responsibilities
Provide full emergency medicine coverage in a 16-bed freestanding emergency department with an annual volume of approximately 36,000 visits
Work 12-hour shifts across a variety of schedule types (Schedules 2, 2N, 3, 3N, 4, and 5)
Document and manage patient care using Cerner EMR
Perform all procedures listed on the facility's Delineation of Privileges (DOP)
Maintain compliance with all credentialing, onboarding, and documentation requirements throughout the engagement
Required Qualifications
Active, unrestricted Florida Medical License
Active DEA registration with a Florida address (Schedules 2, 2N, 3, 3N, 4, and 5)
Board Eligible or Board Certified in Emergency Medicine (ABEM); Family Medicine or Internal Medicine physicians with documented Emergency Medicine experience will also be considered
AAPS/ABPS board certification is not accepted
ACLS and PALS certifications required
ATLS required unless ABEM certified
Flu vaccination within the last 12 months, TB screening within the last 12 months, and COVID documentation required
Case logs and CME documentation from the past 2 years required
Malpractice coverage of $1M/$3M required
All credentialing documents must be in hand prior to start
Preferred Experience / Skills
ABEM-certified candidates with November availability are preferred
Comfort and proficiency performing the full range of emergency medicine procedures
Prior locum tenens experience in a high-volume emergency department setting
