This full-service critical access hospital offers a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services within a 21-bed facility designed to meet the needs of a dynamic coastal community. The facility features four ORs, a medical/surgical unit, a labor and delivery suite, a full rehabilitation therapy center, a cancer treatment and radiation therapy center, and a 24-hour emergency department. The hospital is fully accredited and has been nationally recognized for outstanding patient care, including multiple awards such as the 2025 Birnbaum Quality Leadership Top Performer and various Get With The Guidelines Awards.Opportunity:
MD, DO - Emergency MedicineJob Details:
- Serve as Medical Director and Department Chair of Emergency Services in a full-time, board-certified Emergency Medicine Physician role
- Provide direct clinical care in addition to managing department operations
- Key management responsibilities include staffing, financial management, performance improvement, and driving quality and safety initiatives
- Lead a high-quality emergency medicine team inclusive of 6 physicians and 9 advanced practice providers
- 21-bed emergency department serves approximately 23,100 patients each year
- Telestroke support available within the department
- Collaborative and congenial staff environment with strong community outreach
- Support from the Department of Emergency Medicine at East Carolina's Brody School of Medicine in Greenville, NC
- Excellent public school system and strong community ties in the surrounding area
- Qualified applicants may also be eligible for loan repayment, sign-on bonus, income guarantees, and residency/fellowship paid commitment stipends
