Clinical Role RecruitWell is seeking Emergency Medicine physicians for a Pennsylvania locums float-pool opportunity. Providers must be willing to rotate among multiple locations with varying acuity levels, staffing models, patient volumes, and shift schedules.

Assignment Details

• Start: November 2026

• Contract: November 2026 – January 2027

• Coverage available 7 days per week

• Minimum 4–6 shifts per month

• Travelers must provide blocked availability

• Shift lengths vary from 8–12 hours, with select 24-hour opportunities

• Patient population: All ages

• Hospital-based practice

• EMR: Cerner

Location & Shift Details

Dubois – Northcentral Pennsylvania

• Level II Trauma setting

• 44 Emergency Department rooms

• 4 trauma bays

• 360-bed hospital setting

• Multiple physicians and APPs on shift

• Neuro Trauma ICU support

• 8-hour shifts:

  • 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM

  • 11:00 AM – 9:00 PM

  • 2:00 PM – 11:00 PM

  • 9:00 PM – 6:00 AM

• ABEM certification required

Mon Valley – Southeast of Pittsburgh

• 20 Emergency Department rooms

• 2 trauma bays

• 200-bed hospital setting

• Multiple physicians and APPs on shift

• 8–12-hour shifts

• Night coverage may include Med/Surg and ICU backup

• Must be comfortable with intubations, central lines, and chest tubes

• ABEM certification required

• Monday–Friday shifts:

  • 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM

  • 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM

  • 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM

  • 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM

• Saturday/Sunday shifts:

  • 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

  • 11:00 AM – 9:00 PM

  • 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Connellsville – Southeast of Pittsburgh

• Critical Access setting

• 25-bed hospital

• Single-physician coverage

• Lower-acuity environment

• Average census: Approximately 10–15 patients

• Respond to codes, stroke alerts, and rapid responses for Med/Surg

• Shifts:

  • 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

  • 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Central Pennsylvania

• Critical Access setting

• 25-bed hospital

• Single-physician coverage

• Approximately 10,000 annual Emergency Department visits

• Average census: Approximately 10–15 patients

• Lower-acuity environment

• Respond to codes, stroke alerts, and rapid responses for Med/Surg

• 12- or 24-hour shifts

Huntingdon

• 14 Emergency Department rooms

• Approximately 12,000 annual visits

• APP support

• Bedside ultrasound and GlideScope available

• 12-hour shifts:

  • 8:30 AM – 8:30 PM

  • 8:30 PM – 8:30 AM

• Board Certified or Board Eligible Emergency Medicine physicians considered

Elk

• Critical Access setting

• 25-bed hospital

• Multiple physicians and APPs on shift

• Night coverage may include Med/Surg and ICU backup

• Must be comfortable with intubations, central lines, and chest tubes

• Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

• ABEM certification required

Clearfield

• Critical Access setting

• 25-bed hospital

• Multiple physicians and APPs on shift

• Night coverage may include Med/Surg and ICU backup

Requirements

• Board Certification in Emergency Medicine required

• ABEM certification required at select locations

• Minimum 1 year of Emergency Medicine experience

• Active Pennsylvania medical license highly preferred

• IMLC candidates considered

• DEA required

• BLS required

• Must be willing to float among multiple locations
