An excellent opportunity for an experienced Emergency Medicine Physician to provide nocturnist coverage at a busy regional referral center in Missouri.

This is an urgent coverage need with significant overnight availability. Physicians will work alongside APP support in a well-equipped emergency department with access to comprehensive hospital services.

• 12-hour overnight physician shifts

• Significant need for 25–30 night shifts per month

• Standard physician schedule is 12 shifts per month

• 12-hour APP coverage available

• High-priority ongoing coverage need

• Annual ED Volume: 36,000 visits

• 35-bed Emergency Department

• Medium-acuity patient population

• Level III Trauma Center

• 14% admission rate

• EMR: Meditech with Dragon

Available Hospital Resources:

• 18-bed Intensive Care/Cardiac Care Unit

• 22-bed Stepdown Unit

• Level II Nursery

• State-designated Level II Stroke Center

Licensure

• Active Missouri Medical License or ability to obtain

Board Certification

• ABEM preferred

• ABIM or ABFM considered with prior Emergency Medicine experience

Experience

• Previous Emergency Medicine experience required

Required Certifications

• ATLS

• BLS

• PALS

Clinical Skills

• Broad Emergency Medicine procedural competency

• Comfortable managing medium-acuity emergency department patients
