Physician - Emergency Medicine
Job Details:
Seeking locum physicians to cover nights, weekends, and holidays in the emergency departmentDay shifts are also accepted, but the primary need is for night, weekend, and holiday coverage
Providers must share their availability through 2026 when submitting
Must be emergency medicine residency trained and board certified (Family Medicine or Internal Medicine not accepted)
Perform standard emergency medicine procedures including central lines and intubations
Patient volume approximately 40,000 per year with 20-25 patient encounters per shift
Level 3 Trauma designation facility with 17 beds in the emergency department
Admission rate of approximately 15%
EMR system is EPIC
Consultant support available including cardiology, nephrology, surgery, podiatry, orthopedics, pediatrics, urology, tele-neurology, and hospitalists
Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS
8-10 shifts per month with day and night availability needed
Available shift times include: 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM, 11:00 AM - 11:00 PM, 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM, 6:00 AM - 4:00 PM, 7:00 AM - 6:00 PM, and 4:00 PM - 3:00 AM
Open shift dates include coverage needs through December and into the new year across multiple dates

The emergency department operates around the clock with robust specialist support and modern technology, utilizing EPIC as its electronic medical records system. The facility maintains a strong focus on emergency care with access to key support services including general surgery, radiology, laboratory, and anesthesia available 24 hours a day.
