Job description
We are seeking Emergency Medicine Physicians for ongoing, as-needed locum tenens coverage throughout Texas. Choose from hospital-based emergency departments, trauma centers, and freestanding emergency departments with varying patient volumes, acuity levels, and clinical support. These PRN opportunities have no fixed assignment end date, offering flexibility to provide recurring coverage. Physicians may credential at multiple sites for additional scheduling options.
Available Locations: Cleveland, Houston, Pasadena, Texas City, and Webster.
Position Highlights
- $310+ per hour, with rates based on direct emergency department experience and board certification status
- 100% travel reimbursement, paid in addition to the hourly rate
- 12-hour shifts, with days, nights, and weekends available
- Ongoing PRN coverage with no fixed assignment end date
- Opportunity to credential at multiple facilities
- Adult and pediatric patient care, depending on the location
- Scheduling commitments and clinical requirements vary by facility
Qualifications
- MD or DO with Emergency Medicine training and direct emergency department experience
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Emergency Medicine through ABEM
- Active Texas medical license or ability to obtain one before starting
- DEA registration and current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and ATLS certifications, as required by the facility
- Ability to meet facility credentialing and scheduling requirements
