Clinical Role RecruitWell is seeking a Board Certified Emergency Medicine physician for a long-term locums opportunity in Dickson, Tennessee. This hospital-based role includes onsite Emergency Department coverage across morning, mid, night, weekend, and call needs. New graduates will be considered.

Assignment Details

• Start: ASAP

• Assignment duration: 1 year

• Onsite coverage

• Weekend and night coverage required

• Call coverage included

• Morning, mid, and night shifts

• 10-hour shifts

• 2-day orientation and shadow period

• New graduates accepted

Position Highlights

• Rural Tennessee patient population

• Approximately 119 billable encounters per day

• Approximately 22.4 admissions per day

• Average patient census: Approximately 101

• Approximately 2,650 annual Emergency Department admissions

• Not a trauma center

Clinical Details & Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat Emergency Department patients

• Manage a broad range of standard Emergency Medicine presentations

• Perform appropriate diagnostic evaluations and treatment planning

• Stabilize acutely ill and injured patients

• Determine appropriate disposition, including admission, transfer, or discharge

• Coordinate care with nursing, technical, and APP staff

• Provide weekend, night, and call coverage as scheduled

Procedures & Skills

• Standard Emergency Medicine procedures

• Acute stabilization and resuscitation

• Emergency diagnostic and treatment management

Support & Technology

• Nursing support

• Emergency Department technicians

• Approximately 1–2 Emergency Medicine physicians per shift

• APP support

Requirements

• Board Certified through ABEM required

• Active Tennessee medical license required

• New graduates accepted

• Must be comfortable working morning, mid, night, and weekend coverage
