Emergency Medicine Physician Requirements

• Board certification in Emergency Medicine is required
• At least 1 year of recent Emergency Medicine experience
• Valid physician licensure and ability to satisfy applicable credentialing requirements
• Ability to provide emergency medical care in a fast-paced department serving approximately 36 patients per day
• Availability for the scheduled dates and required on-site orientation

Locum Tenens Emergency Physician Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat Emergency Department patients across a broad range of acuity levels
• Provide care for inpatient and outpatient emergency presentations
• Manage an average of approximately 36 patient encounters per day
• Assess and stabilize patients requiring emergency intervention and coordinate appropriate disposition
• Collaborate with emergency nurses, the advanced practice provider, and available specialty services
• Perform admissions, consultations, and transfers as clinically appropriate
• Document patient care accurately in the Meditech electronic medical record
• Participate in a collaborative Level III trauma environment with access to anesthesia, general surgery, laboratory, orthopedics, radiology, and operating room response services
