Assignment Overview
- Specialty: Emergency Medicine
- Start Date: December 8, 2026
- End Date: January 23, 2027 (with potential ongoing coverage needs for future dates)
- Coverage Type: Emergency Department Shift Coverage (No Call)
- Reason for Need: FMLA Coverage
- Provider Limit: Seeking 1 provider (Facility will not accept multiple providers)
- Orientation: Mandatory 1-day onsite orientation required prior to the first block of assigned shifts
- Credentialing Timeline: 30 Days (or as fast as required documents are submitted; temporary privileges available if needed)
Shift Schedule & Dates
- Shift Time: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM (12-hour day shifts)
- December 2026 Dates:
- Dec 8 – Dec 11
- Dec 19 – Dec 21
- Dec 27 – Dec 29
- January 2027 Dates:
- Jan 8 – Jan 10
- Jan 21 – Jan 23
Requirements
- Licensure: Active Michigan (MI) license or IMLC compact state qualification
- Certification: Board Certification in Emergency Medicine REQUIRED (Board Eligible candidates not accepted; Fellowship not required)
Clinical Practice & Operations
- Patient Volume: Average of 36 patients per day
- Admissions Volume: Average of 3 admissions per day
- Facility Scope: Inpatient & Outpatient Emergency Department (Open 7 days/week)
- Support Staff: ED Registered Nurses (RNs) and 1 Advanced Practice Provider (APP)
- EMR: Meditech
