Emergency Medicine MD/DO - Laredo, TX

Location: Laredo, Texas

An excellent opportunity is available for an experienced Emergency Medicine Physician to provide coverage at a freestanding emergency department in Laredo, Texas. Join a team delivering 24/7 emergency care to the community while treating a diverse range of acute and emergent medical conditions.

• Specialty: Emergency Medicine

• Position: Physician

• Location: Laredo, TX

• Schedule: 12-hour shifts

• Coverage: 24-hour physician coverage, 7 days per week

• Annual ED Volume: Approximately 9,000 visits

• Practice Setting: Freestanding emergency department

• EMR: Cerner

Practice in a well-equipped emergency care environment featuring:

• 9 exam rooms

• 1 dedicated trauma room

• On-site diagnostic laboratory services

• Comprehensive imaging capabilities, including X-ray, CT, and ultrasound

Physicians will evaluate and manage a broad range of emergency conditions, including stroke, heart attack, abdominal and back pain, fractures, lacerations, sprains, infections, and other acute medical emergencies.

Licensure and Credentials

• Active Texas Medical License required

• Active DEA registration required

Board Certification

Candidates must be board-certified in one of the following specialties:

• Emergency Medicine (ABEM)

• Internal Medicine (ABIM)

• Family Medicine (ABFM)

Experience Requirements

• ABIM- or ABFM-certified physicians must have a minimum of 2 years of Emergency Medicine experience.

• All licensure, certification, and experience requirements must be met before submission.

Required Certifications

• ATLS

• ACLS

• PALS

• Consistent emergency medicine coverage needs

• Structured 12-hour shifts

• Freestanding emergency department setting with essential diagnostic resources
