Job description
We are seeking Emergency Medicine Physicians for ongoing locum coverage in Kirksville, Missouri. This is a travel assignment at a regional Level III Trauma Center with a relatively low-volume, medium-acuity Emergency Department.

- Approximately 12,000 annual ED visits
- Medium-acuity patient population
- Approximately 10% admission rate
- Certified Chest Pain Center
- Specialized stroke and chest pain intervention services
- Helipad available for critical air ambulance transfers
- EMR: EDIF Medhost
Clinical Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat emergency department patients
- Manage a broad range of emergency medicine presentations
- Stabilize and coordinate higher-acuity transfers when necessary
- Provide care within a Level III Trauma setting
Requirements
- MD or DO
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine
- Active Missouri medical license preferred
- DEA required
- Visa sponsorship is not available
Ideal Candidate
A BC/BE Emergency Medicine Physician interested in consistent 12-hour shifts and approximately 12 shifts per month in a medium-acuity Emergency Department with Level III Trauma capabilities.
