• Hospital Privileges Required: Yes

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Board: BC/BE in Emergency Medicine (ABEM) or BC/BE in Internal Medicine (ABIM) or Family Medicine (ABFM) with minimum 2 years of Emergency Medicine experience
• Licenses: Active Texas Medical License, DEA
• DEA / CDS: Active DEA required
• Certifications: ATS, ACLS, PALS
• Experience: ABIM or ABFM candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of Emergency Medicine experience

DUTIES & RESONSIBILITIES

• Provide 24-hour physician coverage in a freestanding emergency department
• Manage a broad range of emergent conditions including stroke, heart attack, fractures, lacerations, sprains, infections and other acute medical emergencies
• Utilize Cerner EMR for documentation and order entry
• Order and interpret diagnostic stuidies (X-Ray, CT, Ultrasound)
• Collaborate with nursing and support staff to ensure timely patient care
