Assignment Details
Start: January 1, 2027; ongoing
Earlier December coverage may be possible for qualified clean-file candidates
Specific shift needs will vary
Shift options:
- 8 a.m.–4 p.m.
- 1 p.m.–11 p.m.
- 3 p.m.–12 a.m.
- 9 p.m.–6 a.m.
- 11 p.m.–8 a.m.
Coverage type: Regular inpatient clinical hours with no call
Department volume: Approximately 110 patients per 24 hours
Setting: Emergency department; Level III facility
32-bed department
24/7 anesthesia, cardiothoracic surgery, cath lab, general surgery, laboratory, neurosurgery, orthopedics, radiology, and vascular surgery support
No APP, resident, or teaching supervision
Epic
Approximately 90 days for credentialing
Clinical Details
Broad-spectrum Emergency Medicine
Adult and emergency stabilization coverage
Evaluation, treatment, and disposition of ED patients
No newborn deliveries received in the emergency department
Labor and delivery department available onsite
Requirements
ABEM/AOBEM board certification or eligibility required
BE candidates must be within 3–5 years of residency
ABIM- and ABFM-boarded physicians are not accepted
Active CA license required
Active DEA
ACLS and BLS required
