The department sees approximately 32,000 annual visits, averaging 87 encounters per day, and offers a Level III Trauma Center environment with access to a broad range of specialty services.

The emergency department has access to the following subspecialties:

• Board-certified in Emergency Medicine through ABEM or ABOEM

• Board-eligible candidates accepted with ATLS and PALS

• IMLC accepted

• Must meet applicable state licensing and credentialing requirements

• Must be willing to complete cross-credentialing at additional South Texas facilities

Providers must be willing to complete cross-credentialing at additional emergency medicine facilities in the Brownsville, Harlingen, and Weslaco areas of South Texas.

• 12-hour day and night shifts
