Location: LA

Position Overview

Provide emergency medicine physician coverage in an emergency department setting. This role includes moderate sedation and deep sedation as required.

Required Qualifications

Residency training in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine (as accepted by the site)

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine (as accepted by the site)

Active, unrestricted Louisiana medical license

Louisiana controlled substance registration

Active DEA with a Louisiana address covering schedules 2, 2N, 3, 3N, 4, and 5

ACLS, ATLS, and PALS required if not Emergency Medicine trained

Case logs required for the past 2 years

Proof of completed CME for the past 2 years

Procedural sedation course may be required if not Board Certified in Emergency Medicine

Candidates must have at least two years of clinical experience within the past five years to qualify.
