Job description
We are seeking an ABEM-Certified Emergency Medicine Physician for locum coverage in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. The greatest need is overnight coverage, with additional weekend day and evening shifts available.
Assignment Details
- Start Date: December 14, 2026
- End Date: June 30, 2027
- Approximately 20 night shifts needed
- Approximately 10 weekend shifts needed
- Mix of day, evening, and night coverage
- No call
Schedule
- Highest priority: 11:00 PM–7:00 AM
- Additional shifts may include:
- 7:00 AM–3:00 PM
- 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
- 10:00 AM–8:00 PM
- 2:00 PM–10:00 PM
- 3:00 PM–11:00 PM
- 4:00 PM–12:00 AM

- 300-bed hospital
- 33-room ED
- More than 55,000 ED visits annually
- Diverse acuity and case mix
- Approximately 9 traumas per month
- Meditech Expanse EMR
Support
- 24/7 Hospitalist coverage
- Specialty support available
- 20-bed inpatient psychiatric unit
Requirements
- MD or DO
- ABEM certification required
- Active Massachusetts medical license required
Ideal Candidate
An ABEM-certified Emergency Medicine Physician with an active Massachusetts license who can provide consistent 11p–7a overnight coverage. Physicians with weekend day or evening availability are also needed.
