StaffMed Health Partners has partnered with a large academic medical center in Northern New Jersey to assist with the recruitment of an experienced Emergency Medicine physician to serve as Department Chair. This is a senior leadership role overseeing both the adult and pediatric Emergency Departments, with responsibility spanning clinical operations, academics, residency and fellowship programs, and collaboration with hospital leadership.
The department operates within a large acute care academic hospital with Level I trauma capabilities, graduate medical education, and extensive specialty resources. The Emergency Department itself sees approximately 110,000+ visits annually and has extensive physician and APP coverage.

Position Highlights and Qualifications:
- Must be Board Certified in Emergency Medicine through ABEM or AOBEM
- Emergency Medicine residency training required
- Emergency Department leadership and academic experience required
- Oversee both the adult and pediatric Emergency Departments
- High-volume ED with more than 100,000 annual visits
- Strong physician, APP, resident, nursing, and specialty support
- Epic EMR
